the Regional Biocontainment Laboratory Tour
Date: May 13, 2019
Address: 3185 Rampart Road, Ft. Collins
The Infectious Disease Research Center (IDRC) at Colorado State University is a unique and lively hub of translational biology that integrates academic research, entrepreneurial companies, and a world-class bio-manufacturing operation unified under one roof. The IDRC includes the Regional Biocontainment Laboratory (RBL), created in the aftermath of 9/11 as part of the nation’s network of regional biocontainment labs that stand ready to assist in the event of a bioterrorist event or natural pandemic. The IDRC also includes the Research Innovation Center (RIC) , a technology accelerator for life science focused companies – currently with eight companies at various stages. We also will tour BioMARC, IDRC’s non-profit contract manufacturer of biologics featuring high-containment with FDA cGMP compliance.
