Do you need to be able to quickly train your employees to do their jobs correctly, safely, and conscientiously? Are you trying to adjust the way jobs are done for continuous improvement? Training Within Industry (TWI) can help!
The Job Instructions (JI) class teaches participants how to break down a job and deliver instruction one-on-one, hands-on and one step at time. These skills are the foundation of a flexible, effective workforce based on standardized practices. Often called the missing link to Lean, JI focuses on reducing the variability in our people, just as Lean reduces the variability in our processes and Six Sigma reduces the variability in our tools and equipment.
The Job Relations (JR) class uses real world problems to demonstrate the poor ways in which problems are often handled and offers a standardized alternative to drive positive results.Participants learn how to judge good situations, and develop and maintain good relations with employees. You will also learn how to recognize problem situations, how to handle them and prevent them from occurring. The JR method emphasizes on understanding the situation and teaching supervisors to take the right action.
Job Instructions and Job Relations are especially effective and powerful when taken together, setting the stage for an improved process efficiency, product quality and workplace environment. Both classes utilize the Four Step Method (Preparation, Presentation, Application, and Testing). a simple, straight forward, and easy to implement process.
