Manufacturers and individuals interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing have expressed the need for a Colorado-recognized Lean Certificate. Arapahoe Community College’s Workforce and Community Programs division (non-credit division) and Manufacturer’s Edge responded by collaborating on the design and development and joint marketing of the Lean Academy. The Colorado Community College’s Badging complemented the program by granting a State of Colorado Community College Lean Manufacturing industry Badge for each training session whereby individuals can collect the Badges, put them on their resume or Linked In profile to help them secure employment in manufacturing or advance their careers or leading or supervising a Lean Shop floor.
The program begins September 28, 2017
Participants will demonstrate competencies and earn micro credential badges in the following areas:
- Lean Manufacturing Basics
- 5S and Visual Workplace
- Standardized Work Basics
- Process Mapping
- Kaizen Basics
